Marietas Islands Hidden Beach
Marietas Islands Hidden Beach
Marietas Islands Hidden Beach were made famous by the famous oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. Marietas are home to many birds like the blue-footed bird and a very big variety of fish as well as dolphins all year round and humpback whales in winter.
It is forbidden to explore the islands. A special permission given by the government is required to walk in their surroundings. This is the reason why only a very small group of tour operators are permitted to bring the general public to visit the islands in an area designated for tourists to watch the spectacular beauty that can be found here. It is important to emphasise that life in the Marietas is respected, so hunting and fishing is not allowed. It is perhaps for this reason that many consider the Marietas Islands one of the few ecological sanctuaries in the world, and it is not surprising that it has become a very interesting tourist destination.
